Liberty Square Project Friends & Family, Inc. was formed based on bonds of friendship, tremendous family values and infinite love for the Liberty Square community. The organization is comprised of many former residents who were born, raised and matriculated from neighboring schools such as Dorsey Jr. High, Brownsville Jr. High and Northwestern Sr. High. On occassion, when we gathered for memorial services or other life events, we began to recognize the need to meet on happier occassio5ns thus forming our organization. In 2006, Mr. Phillip Walker was elected President, and he currently holds the same office. In 2013, the organization gained its 501 (c)3 tax exempt status.
Our organization in 2015 became a central force when plans for demoliton and reconstruction of the Liberty Sqaure Housing Project was announced. We maintained visiibilty, advocacy and involvement in this on-going process t ensure and maintain some historiical aspect of the Liberty Square Community Center.

Our method in garnering support and unity involve a number of events throughout the year, to include: Our Annual Summer Picnic & Scholarship Awards, the Annual Christmas Celebration, the Spring Break Fling and collaborative efforts to include Food Drives/Distributions and more.

We love our village, so feel free to drop us a line with your suggestions, questions or concerns.
